Adult Therapy

Do you sometimes feel stuck in a rut or a bit lost: like everyone else is on a journey and you’ve been left standing at the bus stop?

At Affiniti+, our aim is to help you understand what’s holding you back, and to give you strategies to move forwards.

We work with adults from all backgrounds and ability ranges.

We offer a range of interventions, including:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group work
  • Family sessions

We recognise that NHS support can be difficult to access and can involve long waiting times — when you urgently need help now. At Affiniti+, we offer prompt mental-health assessments and an immediately accessible treatment plan. Above all, our aim is to provide you with the support you need before you reach crisis point.

A space to recognise what matters

Is therapy for me?

Life can feel overwhelming at times.

Therapy can help you work out what it is that’s holding you back, as well as why you might be stuck in unhelpful patterns of behaviour.

Working together, we can develop strategies to help you move forwards – without the barriers holding you back from the life you want to live.

A clear and collaborative process

What does a session involve?

Sessions can last between 30 and 50 minutes, depending on what we’re discussing. They can take place either online or at our offices in Woolwich.

How we work with you

What is your approach?

While therapists often specialise in one particular approach – such as psychoanalysis or CBT – at Affiniti+, we work across a number of different approaches. This means that we can draw on a range of strategies, depending on what we think will work best for you.

  • We use therapy sessions to identify difficulties in your daily life, as well as past traumas that may still be affecting your life and relationships. Together, we learn to understand these, and then put strategies in place to address them, where relevant.
  • We see our clients as equal partners in our work. At times, you may feel challenged by our work together; at other times, you’ll feel validated and reassured. Ultimately, we want you to feel supported as we work towards achieving your goals.
  • We combine our own clinical expertise with the latest research evidence. But we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach: the treatment we offer you will be tailored to match your unique life circumstances, concerns and expectations.

We are respectful of our clients’ background, culture and traditions.
